My Specialties
Working Through Anxious & Negative Thinking
If your brain likes to catastrophize, spiral, or tell you the worst-case scenario is the most likely one, trust me, I get it, and I can help. We'll work on catching those thought patterns, understanding where they come from, and building a more grounded relationship with your own mind.
Individual therapy for adults and teens
Anxiety & negative thought pattern work
Cognitive reframing & practical coping tools
School mornings shouldn't feel like a battle. If your child is dealing with stomachaches before the bus, meltdowns over homework, or has started missing more school than you're comfortable with, we'll work together to figure out what's underneath it — and build real tools to help them get back in the classroom and feel okay once they're there.
I also work directly with parents on this one. You're not just leaving your kid to chat for an hour each week — I'll help you understand what's driving the avoidance and how to respond at home in a way that actually helps instead of accidentally reinforcing the anxiety.
Individual therapy for children & teens
School avoidance & refusal support
Anxiety & emotional regulation skills
Parent coaching & at-home strategies
Coordination with schools & educational advocacy (as needed)
Kids & Teens with School Anxiety & Avoidance
Challenging negative thoughts might be my jam and I may have spent the last decade in schools, but that’s not all therapy is for. If you are in need of a neutral person in your corner, help navigating life changes, parenting, and general stress, I can help with that too.

For those who feel like they’ve lost their way a bit; constantly putting others before yourself, people pleasing or lacking self-confidence.
By working together, we identify strengths and help you remember-you have a voice worth trusting. Whether you are an adult or have a child struggling with similar concerns, empowering others is at the heart of what I do.
-
Do you struggle with negative or unhealthy thoughts? Overthinking, feeling nervous, irritable or on edge? These could be signs of Anxiety.
We explore potential triggers, specific thoughts, and strategies to challenge unhelpful thoughts.

Has school become more of a challenge than you anticipated? Is your child avoiding school, experiencing stomachaches or headaches before school, getting into trouble more or academic decline?
Together we identify concerns, triggers, and impacts. I collaborate with parents and guardians to help ease these stressors and get your child more comfortable in school. -
Becoming a parent is no walk in the park. Sometimes we (myself included) need a safe, judgement-free place to process, identify ways to regulate our own emotions and respond in health ways to our children.
Whether you are a new parent or a seasoned pro, I’m here to help! This is particularly helpful in seasons of big changes such-as divorce, losses, and even different development stages of your child.
-
Life is full of transitions and stressors- both good and bad. If you or your child are approaching a change, getting extra support to process all of the emotions is so important. Think college, school changes, moving, or loss.

Sessions are all online for teletherapy! Meaning you can meet in any comfy and confidential space. After booking and creating a client portal through Sessions Health, you will receive reminders and a link to join your appointment. Find a quiet and cozy space and join. We will spend time getting to know each other and making sure we are a great fit! I will ask about what has led you to therapy, what you’d like to achieve and relevant history. If you are a parent scheduling for your child, you will be a valuable part if not all of our session! Feel free to ask me questions too! I prefer to have an open and relaxed style that feels more like a comforting conversation than a clinical intervention.
What makes you different?

I have spent my career in schools. Not only has this allowed me to live engrained in what it means to be in a school, but I see exactly what could be setting off a child, what is burning out a teacher and triggering anxiety in all ages. Being in schools and the community has also allowed me to become more flexible, be more laid back, find joy in small wins and deepen my sense of humor (a must when you hear “6-7” 500 times a day or realize too late that those shoelaces you are helping tie are in fact wet). I want therapy to be enjoyable, even if some moments are hard - I know it can be both.
