Anxiety & Overthinking
Therapy for Adults in Ohio
Online sessions from anywhere in Ohio. Daytime appointments on Mondays & Fridays.
Does this sound familiar?
You look fine from the outside. You show up for work, keep up with the people you care about, and get things done. But inside, your brain rarely gets a break.
Maybe you:
Replay conversations for hours, wondering if you said the wrong thing
Assume the worst before anything has actually happened
Feel tense, irritable, or wiped out without knowing why
Lie awake at night running through tomorrow's to-do list
Fixate on what didn’t go so well while ignoring what succeeded
Hear that inner voice telling you you're not doing enough, or not being enough
Put off decisions because you're afraid of choosing wrong
If you nodded along to a few of these, you're not broken and you're not alone. Anxiety is really common in adults, and it's very treatable.
How therapy can help
Anxiety tends to run on autopilot. A thought shows up ("I'm going to mess this up"), your body reacts, and before you know it you're spiraling. In our sessions we slow that cycle down so you can see what's actually happening and respond differently.
I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most researched approaches for anxiety. Together we'll:
Spot your triggers. Figure out when and where your anxiety tends to show up.
Catch the thoughts behind it. Notice the patterns, like catastrophizing, mind reading, or harsh self-talk.
Reframe them. Practice more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. Not fake positivity, just fairer to yourself.
Calm your body. Learn practical tools for the physical side of anxiety, like the racing heart, tight chest, or upset stomach.
Build confidence. Take small, doable steps toward the things anxiety has been holding you back from.
I also draw on DBT skills and Motivational Interviewing when they fit. Therapy with me is collaborative and down to earth.
Who I work with
I work with adults and young adults across Ohio who are dealing with:
Generalized anxiety and constant worry
Overthinking and rumination
High-functioning anxiety
A harsh inner critic and low self-esteem
Stress from work, school, or big life changes
Whether you're a college student, a working professional, a parent, or somewhere in between, this is a space for you.

Common questions
How do I know if my anxiety is "bad enough" for therapy?
If it's getting in the way of your sleep, work, relationships, or enjoying your life, that's reason enough. You don't have to wait for things to fall apart.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
For many people, yes. Lots of clients find it easier to open up from their own space.
How long will I be in therapy?
It depends on your goals. We'll check in regularly on progress so you're never left wondering.
What happens in the first session?
We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you'd like to change, and how we'll work toward it.
Ready to quiet the overthinking?
You don't have to figure this out alone. Book a free consult and let's see if we're a good fit.
