Parenting Stress Therapy in Ohio
Online sessions from anywhere in Ohio. Daytime appointments on Mondays & Fridays.
Does this sound familiar?
You adore your kids. You’d do anything for them. You want so badly to make sure you’re doing the right things. Constantly concerned you’re not doing enough or what if you’re doing too much. Parenting can sometimes feel like a battle zone you’re just trying to survive.
Maybe you:
Snap at your kids over small things, then lie awake feeling guilty about it
Feel "touched out," drained, or like there's nothing left of you by bedtime
Worry constantly about whether you're doing it right, or messing them up
Compare yourself to other parents (or social media) and feel less than
Dread mornings, bedtime, homework, or any routine that causes a meltdown
Feel stuck between your kids' needs, your partner, your job, and everyone else
Can't remember the last time you did something just for you
If a few of these hit close to home, you're not a bad parent and you're not alone. Parenting stress and pressure is incredibly common, and it gets better with the right support.
How therapy can help
Stress is a bit of a vicious cycle. You're running on empty, a small moment tips you over, you react in a way you don't love, and then the guilt piles on. In our sessions we slow that cycle down so you can respond to your kids (and yourself) the ways you actually want to.
I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with DBT skills and Motivational Interviewing. Together we'll:
Find and explore your triggers. Figure out which moments, routines, or situations push you to your limit.
Quiet the guilt. Notice the harsh "I'm failing them" thoughts and swap them for fairer, more realistic ones.
Stay calmer in the hard moments. Practice tools for pausing before you react, even mid-meltdown.
Set boundaries that stick. With your kids, your family, your work, and your own expectations.
Make room for you. Rebuild a little time and energy for yourself, because you matter too.
Therapy with me is collaborative and down to earth. No judgment, no lectures, and no "perfect parent" standard. Just practical tools that fit your real life.
Who I work with
I work with parents and caregivers across Ohio who are dealing with:
Parenting burnout and exhaustion
Mom guilt, dad guilt, and the pressure to do it all
Anger, irritability, or yelling more than you'd like
Anxiety and worry about your child's wellbeing or future
Stress around a child's school, behavior, or emotional struggles
Big family changes, like a new baby, divorce, co-parenting, or kids growing up
Whether you're parenting toddlers, teens, or somewhere in between, this is a space for you. With over 11 years of experience working with kids, teens, and schools, I understand what's going on from both sides. Added bonus, I’m a mom too. Chances are I’ve felt much of the same stressors.

Hi, I'm Bree
I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor (LISW-S) who has spent 11+ years helping kids, teens, and adults. I’m also a mom, and personally know the struggles parents and caregivers face. My style is warm, practical, and a little bit real. You'll get tools you can actually use, without feeling like you're being judged. I am offering online therapy sessions through Wild Blooms Wellness.
Common questions
Is parenting stress really a reason to go to therapy? Absolutely. If stress is affecting your mood, sleep, relationships, or how you show up for your kids, that's reason enough. You don't have to wait until you're at a breaking point.
Do my kids need to be involved? No. These sessions are for you. If needed, we can talk about family or child sessions.
I'm so busy. How can I fit therapy in? That's one of the biggest perks of online sessions. No drive, no waiting room. Many parents join during nap time, school hours, or a lunch break.
What happens in the first session? We'll talk about what's feeling hardest right now, what you'd like to be different, and how we'll work toward it together.
Ready to feel more like yourself again? You can’t pour from an empty cup. Let's make some room to take care of you so you can continue to care for everyone else. Book a free consult and let's see if we're a good fit.
